With assistance from WB Jeffrey Marschall (Installing Master, Rochester Lodge), WB Brad Phelps (Installing Marshal, District 28 Representative), WB Neil Hanson (Installing Secretary, Austin Lodge), and WB Steve Neiswanger (Installing Chaplain, Austin Lodge), Stewartville Lodge installed its 2020 Officers on January 14th. We are all looking forward to a great year and hope to see you in Lodge!
Congratulations to Brother James Heydt on the Mason of the Year Award, WB Don Lyman on his 60 Year Pin, and WB Doug Brick who received the Hiram Award! We also wanted to thank WB Ed Gerwill for his year of service in the East.
This January we had the opportunity to install our incoming officers during a public installation on the 9th, and 10 days later, several brothers accompanied our newest brother, James, to The Grand Lodge of Minnesota’s One Day to Masonry event at the Minnesota Masonic Heritage Center in Bloomington. Installation of OfficersOn January 9, Stewartville Lodge held and open meeting for the installation of our 2018 officers. Many thanks to the installing officers for your assistance in this! Grand Lodge One Day to MasonryStewartville Lodge had the honor of presenting two candidates for Minnesota Grand Lodge One Day to Masonry this year. Welcome brothers Jason and Gabriel when you see them! There in support of our new brothers were Art, Dale, and Ben from Stewartville Lodge, Ryan from Pleasant Grove Lodge, and Bruce from Rochester Lodge. Bikes for Books PresentationJanuary 26, Bear Cave Intermediate School presented three bikes to the winners of the Bikes for Books program. Worshipful Master Bill, Past Master George, and Junior Tony were able to be there to help present the bikes to the lucky winners. Thanks to the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Association for their ongoing support of this program! Also, see the article in the Stewartville Star for more details. Upcoming Sweetheart DinnerNext week, February 13, Stewartville Lodge and Pleasant Grove Lodge will be hosting a Sweetheart Dinner at Willow Creek Golf Course. Tickets are $21 per person. Monday, November 30th, Stewartville Masonic Lodge No. 203 will be hosing Tip Night at Pizza Ranch in Stewartville. As the name implies, all tips received that night will go towards funding our charitable projects, specifically the Bikes for Books program. Along with all the tips, Pizza Ranch will kick in 10% of the gross income for the evening as compensation for the time and work put in by those working for the evening. Please consider joining us for some pizza and support a great cause for your local community!
